Strategic Affairs Executive

The Strategic Affairs Executive is established to shape the University’s strategic direction. The Executive is responsible for planning, monitoring, and evaluating the university’s overall performance. It is also mandated to administer partnership agreements, and managing the statistical data at the University level. The following are its major duties and responsibilities:

  • Leading all strategic and annual planning operations
  • Developing the budget plan jointly with the budget team
  • Advise on the alignment of the university’s plan with national plans and policy directions
  • Support the working units in planning and reporting activities
  • Compiling, analyzing and presenting the university’s performance reports
  • Create strategic cooperation and partnership with domestic and foreign universities and international associations in cooperation with other relevant departments of the university.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on a range of strategic matters, including resource allocation, partnership development, and policy formulation.
  • Track the university’s progress towards its strategic goals, conducting regular reviews and evaluations to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.

The Strategic Affairs Executive has produced several strategic and annual plans and reports.

The Office of the Director

The office is under the president and hence the director is accountable to the president and also has functional relationship with the vice presidents, college deans and office directors.
