Ethics Monitoring Executive

The Ethics Monitoring Executive of Injibara University commenced its operations on November 2017. In 2021, the office underwent restructuring in accordance with the revised Proclamation No. 1236/2021. The Ethics Monitoring Executive is established to ensure ethical practices and combat corruption in the university. It plays a crucial role in promoting transparency, integrity, and accountability within the institution. The Executive has the following main responsibilities:

  • Providing need-based and task-based training on different strategies for building ethics and preventing corruption
  • Conducting survey research on various issues that may prone to corruption and unethical practices
  • Identifying and resolving institutional and individual conflict of interests
  • Taking immediate action against suspected corruption crimes through emergency anti-corruption measures
  • Facilitating the registration of assets owned by officials and employees
  • Developing and implementing the University’s Code of Ethics and monitoring its implementation
  • Offering advisory services to the University regarding the prevention of corruption by ensuring compliance with anti-corruption laws and regulations
